About Me

As an undergraduate, I spent a good portion of my senior year as a remote intern for Ms. Ginger Clark of Curtis Brown, LTD and loved every minute of it. I attempted a move to NYC, determined to work in publishing, but upon arrival realized that New York was not at all the right fit for me and promptly returned home to Arkansas, where I got my MA in English Literature.

Since then, I have returned to school yet again to get licensed to teach high school English to pay the bills while I write, and I started a publishing company, Tea Tree Publishing, with my former professor Dr. Donna White. My goal is to eventually take over the world. Kidding. But books are still my passion, and I'm still trying to find a way to live off them.

Fantasy and science fiction are my favorite genres (both to read and write), though I am beginning to develop a certain fondness for darker contemporary novels as well. My current projects, which you can read about on my BOOKS tab, have been on hold for far too long, but I am determined to get back to them and to keep dreaming up ideas and people for the the next story. Always.

I have an unhealthy addiction to sour candy, frozen pizza, and macaroni with hot dogs. I have three cats and live with my significant other (who will be affectionately referred to as Boyfriend). Books make me happy, and I assume if you're reading this the same applies to you. I hope you'll stick around and maybe even check out my REVIEWS tab, as I'm finally getting back to sharing my love of books with the rest of the world.
